APRIL
It’s been a long time coming.
Yôlee is Returning to Ojai!!!
It’s time to:
- Visit the “Trolley Community” (mentioned on the original journey post)
- Release NEW music
- Collaborate
- Participate in LIVE events
- “Dare to suck” on a larger scale ✨🎶

Open Mic Night
That’s right, Yôlee will be LIVE! If you are in the area, swing on by…
If you’d prefer to join her in Karaoke, stop in on Tuesday night. It’s sure to be entertaining. 😅
Meeting New People
There are NO COINCIDENCES (my belief), so when my sister’s MERCH order was delivered to someone else, and they received hers, there had to be some divine work at play right?
I met the most positive and generous person by email. Her name is Destinee, and if you are seeing this, I believe it’s meant for you to meet her as well. She is the Founder & CEO of Bloom & Her. You can visit her at https://bloomandher.store/.
UPDATE: Open Mic Night and Karaoke in Ojai, CA
I was right, it WAS VERY interesting, expanding, and even became quite fun! If you are ever in Ojai, or Ventura County, please stop by and enjoy the following:
- Ojai Pub: I can’t say enough nice things about the people and the supportive atmosphere. (makes me want to move to Ojai just to be a part of their community!)
- Open Mic Night with Duane Bartels.
- Karaoke with Leigh Balton: Visit her extensive playlist here!
Side Note:
Not only am I back from recording, the Theme Song, Land of Love and Acceptance, for the book Where It All Began…IS OUT NOW!
The EP, Hands of Time, is set to release September 07, 2026.

May
It’s time for a brand-new adventure!
Yôlee is EXPANDING!!!
What’s in my heart?
- American Sign Language (ASL). I would love to make my work more accessible! While singing “Land of Love and Acceptance“, I visualized myself using ASL as I was recording. I mean my body was literally trying to make the signs. It has been a while since I have been around anyone that spoke the language and used it while someone was singing…but it is tugging deeply on my heartstrings right now. I’ve researched a little and found a Tennessee School for the Deaf near me. My heart is racing. I yearn for this right now. I admit, I cried when I read the site. They were overwhelming tears that something that was placed in my spirit, is so close to where I live. So, I am looking into learning the language. Timing is everything. I will yield to the flow of alignment.
- Braille. More specifically, what is the process for translating a picture book into Braille? I know my dream won’t make sense to everyone, but if you write visually, it allows the reader to paint whatever picture they see in their own minds, hearts, and spirit. Children are very imaginative. They didn’t ‘learn’ to see things by what adults told them… Think about it, when you’ve listened to a young child speak before, during, or after play, did you ever think, “where did they see that?, how do they know that? who told them that?” So, imagine someone reading a story to a child…and the child reading along in Braille, painting their own mental pictures. The image makes my heart smile.
I’m both nervous AND excited to actually speak this out loud, to put it in print out in the universe. I’ll update when I know more. ✨🦜
